Grand Ayatullah Muhammad Taqi Bahjat Fumani, known to be the greatest 'Arif in contemporary history, resided in Qum, Iran. He was a student of the greatest teacher of 'Irfan in recent history, Sayyid 'Ali Qadhi Tabatabai.
Sayyid Ali Qadhi Tabatabai
Sayyid Qadhi (RA) was a scholar of the highest caliber in Najaf in the last century. He taught akhlaq, aqaa’ed and ‘irfan, and was also well versed in falsafah and fiqh. Many of the great mystics were his students, such as Shaykh Bahjat, Sayyid Kashmiri and Sayyid Tabatabai.
