A Treatise On Love by Ibn Sina
IBN SINA'S Risalah fi'l- 'ishq, a translation of which .is offered here, was edited critically by M. A. F. Mehren in 1894' and again in Cairo in 1917, the latter edition being mostly, though not invariably, in agreement with the former. Our translation is based on Mehren's edition as the critical one of the two but attention is drawn to any important deviation of the Cairo edition. Mauscripts in addition to those used by these two editions are listed by Brockelmann" and Ritter.
